The Slovene Philharmonic goes to China again

The Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra's quality exceeds the national, cultural and political borders of Slovenia. We can conclude that from many international projects – visits by foreign soloists and conductors, and the Orchestra's tours abroad. One of the tours we are most proud of was the one with the soprano Anna Netrebko and the conductor Emmanuel Villaume in 2012, when we performed Tchaikovsky's opera Iolanta all over Europe. We are also proud of our cooperation with the famouc Chinese conductor and composer Tan Dun, whith whom we performed two of our our regular concerts and a concert at the Ljubljana Festival 2015.

Thanks to that cooperatio we were invited to the Chinese city of Nanjing, where we performed under the British conductor James Judd. We played the works of the honorary members of our society – Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms.

This year's invitation followed last year's success.  The Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra performed with James Judd at the National Center of Performing Arts in Beijing. They had two very successful concerts (on the 16th and 17th of december 2017) - a great success for the Slovene Philharmonic and an exquisite experience for all our musicians. The program in schedule was as follows:
