Vivaldi, Bach

At the 3rd Philharmonic Festival of Baroque Music, we will lead the audience to the world of the Italian Baroque, which in its own time represented the ideal of beauty all over Europe and was therefore extremely popular and highly prized throughout the continent. At three concerts, we will present music from Venice and Naples, as well as music written by Italian composers for foreign courts in Dresden, Lund, Vienna and elsewhere. Since the music of Italian masters such as Albinoni, Vivaldi and Alessandro Marcello had an important influence on Johann Sebastian Bach, the festival will also be imbued with the music of the great master.
